Confirmed on the roll, one of only two six clasp medals to H.M.S. Powerful, of which a total of only 63 were issued to the Navy.

Private Huckin was mentioned in Captain Bearcroft’s final despatch, dated Simon’s Town, 17 October, 1900. He was taken prisoner at Roodeval on 7 June 1900 and later released.
