Brazil, Officers’ Decoration for Montevideo 1822-23, fashioned entirely in gold, central portrait of Pedro I encircled by legend ‘Voluntarios Reaes D’El Rey’ and wreath of laurels, the reverse ‘Montevideo’ within a wreath of laurels, with straight bar suspension and gold ribbon buckle, extremely fine, apparently unrecorded and of the highest rarity £1500-2000
