Percival Morrison Greenwood was wounded in the head and right leg on 20 April 1915, during the attack on Hill 60. On recovering from his wounds he was commissioned into the 19th Battalion, London Regiment, attaining the rank of Captain. It was in the action on the night of 20-21 April 1915 that Second Lieutenant G. H. Woolley of the 9th Battalion gained the award of the Victoria Cross.

Robin Charles Peffer lived at Harringay and enlisted in London. He was killed in action on 9 September 1916 when his regiment attacked a trench position running through Bouleaux Wood. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
