Military Medal, G.V.R. (11969 A. Sjt., 17/K.R.R.C.); British War and Victory Medals (11969 W.O.Cl.II., K.R. Rif. C.); Jubilee 1935; Coronation 1937; Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.VI.R., 2nd issue (6838039 W.O.Cl.1., M.M., K.R.R.C.); Regular Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. (6838039 W.O.Cl.I., (M.M.) K.R.R.C.) first three medals heavily polished and with some edge bruising, obliterating ‘C’ of Corps on B.W.M., thus about good fine, otherwise generally very fine or better (7) £250-300

H. A. Ellis attained the rank of Regimental Sergeant Major on 12 September 1927, a rank he held until his retirement in August 1938.
