M.S.M. awarded 16 January 1901, with £10 Annuity. He received his L.S. & G.C. medal in 1884.

Charles Bright was born in the Parish of Otterbourne, near Winchester, Hampshire, and enlisted in October 1865. He became Sergeant Instructor of Musketry in March 1876, was appointed Quarter-Master Sergeant in March 1879, and was discharged on 23 December 1892, after twenty seven years and 60 days service.
