Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (2) (James Storey Hall; David Slater Lawson) very fine and better (2) £80-100

James Storey Hall was born in Cullercoates, Northumberland and enlisted at North Shields. Serving in the 1st Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, he was killed in action on 18 June 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

David Slater Lawson was born in Hebburn, lived at Hebburn Colliery and enlisted at Sunderland. Serving with the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment, he was killed in action on the Somme on 10 July 1916, aged 33 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was the husband of Mary Louisa Lawson, of 11 Fir Street, Hebburn Colliery, Co. Durham.
