Thames Police Tipstaff in Silver Brass and Ebony an extremely rare example of the type issued to Police Superintendents, 33 cm in length, the bottom section 16.5 cm in turned ebony, the silver section 11.5 cm and the solid gilt brass St. Edward’s crown 5 cm, the silver section is engraved ‘Thames Police No. 21’, this section unscrews and would presumably have contained the officer’s Warrant. Together with photostat of relevant details from ‘Truncheons’ by E Fenn Clark 1935. Very good condition £600-800
