Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (Paymaster David F. Chambers, 75th Regt.) suspension refixed, good very fine £700-800

David Francis Chambers was commissioned an Ensign, 75th (Stirlingshire) Regiment of Foot, (Gordon Highlanders) January 1840 and promoted to Lieutenant in May 1842 and Paymaster in January 1849. Served during the Indian Mutiny from the outbreak 12.5.1857, including the battle of Budleekaserai, and the siege, storm, and capture of Delhi. He was wounded before Delhi on 8 June 1857. Chambers attained the rank of Major in January 1860.
