Frank Somers was born in India. A Lineman by occupation, he attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Prince Rupert, B.C., on in March 1917, and was serving with the Canadian Engineers by the time of his arrival in England in May 1917. Embarked for France that December, he won his M.M. for services in a Signalling Company, and was discharged in November 1919; sold with copied service papers.
