George Malner was born in Charnsworth, Poland, on 22 May 1891. He enlisted at Sewell, Manitoba in July 1915 and was serving with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles when he was killed in action on 2 June 1916 at the battle of Mount Sorrell. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial; sold with copied service papers.
