Private Gordon Leonard Brooman, 15th Battalion London Regiment, was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 25 September 1915, aged 21 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. He was the son of Bessie Brooman, of 2 Roxwell Road, Shepherd’s Bush, London, and the late John Egmont Brooman, of Dunbar, East Lothian.
