Edward William Vosper was awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in February 1940, while serving as a Supply Chief Petty Officer in the aircraft carrier Furious - this at a time when she was actively employed in the Norwegian campaign. Subsequently appointed a Warrant Stores Officer in August 1943, he served out in the Pacific in another carrier, the Colossus, from July 1944, in addition to a period of attachment to the R.A.N. in the carrier Sydney. He was finally placed on the Retired List as a Lieutenant (S.) in May 1955; sold with brief research.
