Arthur Richards was born in Pear Tree, Derbyshire. With the 9th Battalion Sherwood Foresters, he served in Gallipoli. He died of wounds there on 10 August 1915. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.

Private Arthur Flowers, Grenadier Guards, entered France on 30 August 1914. Awarded the 1914 Star with clasp. He returned to the U.K. in November 1915 and was discharged on 22 February 1919.

Private William Wakelin, Grenadier Guards, served 1908-11 before being mobilised on 5 August 1914. He entered France with the 1st Battalion on 6 October 1914. Awarded the 1914 Star with clasp. He was discharged on 14 June 1922.

Private George Peters, 3rd Battalion Grenadier Guards, entered France on 26 July 1915. He was wounded in the thigh on 31 March 1916 when the battalion was serving in the Ypres Salient and was subsequently evacuated home. He returned to France on 8 October 1916, remaining there until 4 March 1919. Awarded the M.S.M. (
