The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, O.B.E. (Military) Officer’s 2nd type breast badge, silver-gilt; 1914-15 Star (Eng. Lt. Commr., R.N.); British War and Victory Medals (Eng. Commr., R.N.); Defence and War Medals, unnamed; Coronation 1911 (Engr. Lieut. B. J. G. Johns, H.M.S. Queen) mounted for display, good very fine (7) £250-300

O.B.E. London Gazette 1 January 1943.

Engineer Captain Bertram Joseph Garfield Johns, R.N. (Retired) was awarded the O.B.E. for his services in Area Maintenance Engineer Department Glasgow in the New Years Honours of 1943. He was invested with his O.B.E. on 2 February 1943.
