Private Frederick James Matson, 1st Battalion Hampshire Regiment, was killed/died in Northern France, on 14 June 1944, aged 33 years. He was buried in the Bayeux War Cemetery, Calvados, France. He was the son of Frederick William and Annie Elizabeth Matson, of Aldershot, Hampshire and husband of Pearl Adeline Matson, of Aldershot.

With slip addressed to Mrs P. A. Matson to accompany her son’s I.G.S.
