Charles George Haly was born in Falmouth, Cornwall on 2 August 1855. A Pattern Maker by occupation, he entered the Royal Navy in April 1877. He attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer and was awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1889 when on Indus. Pensioned in May 1897; died in Plymouth on 11 August 1935. With copied service paper.
