Richard Bulmer Guest was born in Woolwich on 11 December 1833. He entered the Royal Navy as an Acting Engine Room Artificer on 5 June 1868. Attained the rank of C.E.R.A. in September 1877. Awarded the Royal Navy L.S. & G.C. in 1878 when on Sheldrake. Invalided on 8 May 1885. With copied service papers.
