An unusual group of three awarded to Deputy Conservator C. M. Medworth, Siamese Forest Department

Siam, Order of the Crown, 1st issue, 3rd Class neck badge, silver-gilt and enamel, with neck cravat, in case of issue; Siam, Order of the White Elephant, 1st issue, 4th Class breast badge, silver-gilt and enamel, rosette on ribbon; Siam, Chakrabarti Mala Medal (Faithful Service Medal), silver-gilt, complete with brooch bar, in case of issue, generally good very fine or better (3) £250-300

Charles Mortimer Medworth was granted H.M’s Royal Licence and authority to wear the insignia of both the Siamese Orders of the Crown, 3rd Class (London Gazette 24 January 1922 refers), and White Elephant, 4th class (London Gazette 1 June 1915), both awarded in recognition of the valuable services rendered by him as a Deputy Conservator for the Siamese Forest Department, Bangkok.

Sold with original Royal Licences for the above, signed by George V, together with three original Siamese warrants / certificates, two of them relating to the recipient’s appointment to the Order of the Crown.
