Military General Service 1793-1814, 2 clasps, Martinique, Guadaloupe (W. Coulston, R.Y. Rangers) some contact marks, very fine £1400-1800

William Coulston was born in the Parish of Frome, Somerset. He served with the Royal York Rangers, 28 February 1807-11 April 1811. With them he was present in the operations leading to the capture of Martinique, 30 January-24 February 1809 and Guadaloupe, 30 January-4 February 1810. Coulston was wounded at Guadaloupe, 3 February 1810 which resulted in the amputation of his right leg and consequent discharge from the regiment. With copied discharge papers.
