France, War Memorial Erected, Nice, 1928, an Art Deco plated bronze medal by A. Lavrillier after A. Janniot, warrior clasping sword, head of wild boar behind, reverse the memorial, 72mm, edge stamped épreuve d’auteur (Classens 104; V&A Exh. Cat. 1998, 53; cf. Baudey/Bricher 1992, 145; cf. BDW 9, 750 and 13, 294; cf. DNW 38, 814). Good very fine and a powerful rendition (£80-120)
