George Henry Loundes, who was from Longnor, Staffordshire, enlisted in the Royal Engineers in June 1915 and first went out to France in February 1916, where he joined 14 Divisional Signalling Company, R.E., as a lineman. Advanced to Acting 2 Corporal in November 1917, he was awarded the M.M. in the following year when, in late June, he was admitted to No. 54 Casualty Clearing Station for a few days. He was demobilised in late 1919.

Sold with copied attestation and service papers.
