Pair: Lieutenant H. L. Holland, Royal Air Force, late Royal Flying Corps, who was posted missing while serving in Ireland in February 1920

Horace Lloyd Holland, who was born in October 1898, entered the Royal Flying Corps direct from Bournemouth School, and was appointed a Flying Officer in September 1917. Posted to No. 141 Squadron at Biggin Hill, a Home Defence unit and a component of 49 Wing, in March 1918. And he was similarly employed when the Squadron was ordered to Ireland in March 1919 but, as confirmed by his service record, disappeared without trace while en route to the airfield at Baldonnel on 21 February 1920. The son of Otho and Mary Lloyd Holland of Bournemouth, he was 21 years of age and is commemorated on the Hollybrook Memorial in Southampton; sold with copied service record.
