Charles Frederick Mayor was born at Neadwood, Staffordshire, in February 1898, and enlisted in the Royal Naval Air Service in May 1915. Having then witnessed active service with No. 3 Wing out in France from September 1915 until May 1917, he took up an appointment at Crystal Palace; sold with copied service record.
