John Peter Thomas Lihon was born in St. Peter’s Port, Guernsey in May 1885 and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in September 1900. An Acting Mechanician at Victory II in Portsmouth at the time of the outbreak of hostilities in August 1914, he was quickly advanced to Mechanician and served in the battleship H.M.S. Queen Elizabeth from November 1915 until the War’s end. Awarded his L.S. & G.C. Medal in May 1918, he was pensioned ashore in June 1922; sold with copied service record.
