Robert Marriott was born in Shobnall, Staffordshire and enlisted at Burton-on-Trent. Serving with the 1/6th North Staffordshire Regiment, he died of wounds, France/Flanders, on 4 May 1918, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Etaples Military Cemetery. Robert Marriott was the son of Alfred and Jane Marriott of 8 Shobnall Street, Burton-on-Trent.
