Henry Gilmore Bumpstead was born in and enlisted at Luton. As a Private in the R.A.M.C. he entered the Egypt theatre of war on 23 September 1915. Serving with the 45th Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C. he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 12 April 1917. He was buried in the Feuchy Chapel British Cemetery, Wancourt.

Frank McKenzie was born and lived in Hawick, Roxborough and enlisted at Galashiels. As a Private in the R.A.M.C. he entered the Egypt theatre of war on 4 August 1915. Serving with the 88th Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 21 August 1917, aged 31 years. He was buried in the Bleuet Farm Cemetery, Belgium. He was the only son of James and Janet McKenzie of 6 Howegate, Hawick.
