Lieutenant Robert Chafer Richards, 1st Royal Tank Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps, was killed in action/died on 26 November 1941, aged 22 years. He was buried in the Tobruk War Cemetery. He was the son of Cyril Duncan William and Mary Ray Richards of Headington Quarry, Oxford. His brother, Walter Hughes Richards also died on military service.
