Three: Private G. W. Meades, 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, killed in action, 15 June 1915

George William Meades was born in Hanwell, lived in Hayes and enlisted at Uxbridge. Serving with the 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers he was killed in action on 15 June 1915. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

With named commemorative scroll; medal forwarding slips to ‘Mr G. Meades’ and two slips to accompany the scroll and plaque (this not with lot).
