Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long Service, E.VII.R. (No. 2354 Sgt. George Beauclare Maule Ffinch.) engraved naming, edge bruising, good very fine £70-90

George Beauclare Maule Ffinch was employed on the Railway in Ceylon whilst with the Ceylon Civil Service. He later joined the Customs Service and became an Assistant Charges Officer at Colombo. He also served in the Ceylon Light Infantry. As No. 2354 Sergeant Drummer in the Ceylon Volunteer Force, Ffinch was awarded the Colonial Auxiliary Force L.S. & G.C. - this announced in the Ceylon Government Gazette of 5 February 1909. Ffinch died at the Colombo General Hospital on 17 November 1925. With copied research.
