Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Lucknow (No. 275 1st Class Ordy. Thos. Turner, Med. Staff Corps.) slightly later issue, with silver brooch bar, some edge bruising and contact marks, very fine £180-220

Thomas Turner, a Servant, attested for the Medical Staff Corps in Gloucestershire on 4 July 1855. He served in Scutari for 269 days and in India for 313 days. Transferred to the Army Hospital Corps in February 1860 and promoted to Sergeant in July 1860. He was discharged on 6 December 1870, being found unfit for further service, his intended place of residence being Aberdeen. With copied service papers.
