Romania, Treaty of Bucharest, 1913, a bronze medal by C. Alessandrescu, busts of the kings of Romania, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece in medallions, reverse Peace trampling cannon and trophies, names of signatories around, 90mm (BDM –; cf. DNW 35, 636). A handsome medal, extremely fine; in original maroon fitted case of issue with the Romanian royal coat of arms gilt-embossed on the lid (£60-80)

The Treaty of Bucharest, signed on 10 Aug. 1913, brought an end to the Second Balkan War, in which Bulgaria was over-run by Romania, Turkey, Greece and Serbia after its attempt to occupy contested districts of Macedonia failed
