The Hampshire Regiment Volunteer Battalions an Officer’s 1880 Pattern Forage Cap. A standard pattern example in blue cloth with black oak leaf pattern welt, the drooping peak inlaid with silver wire, to the front an embroidered badge being a crowned eight pointed star bearing the Garter and enclosing the Hampshire rose, narrow leather chin strap missing, the silks and velvet element of the badge worn and faded otherwise good condition £300-400
