Queen’s Sudan 1896-98 (4057 Pte., 2/Lan. Fus.) official correction to number; Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal (4057 Pte., Lanc. Fus.) surname ‘Levett’ on this; Khedive’s Sudan 1896-1908, 1 clasp, Khartoum (4057 Pte., 2nd L.F.) the second scratched in obverse field, otherwise good very fine and better (3) £500-600

Private T. Levitt was taken prisoner at Spion Kop on 24 January 1900. After his release he served in the composite battalion commanded by Colonel Bullock of the Devonshire Regiment, and was killed in action at Honings Spruit, north of Kroonstad, on 22 June 1900. Sold with further details.
