A Privately Issued Life Saving Award, in 9 carat gold, hallmarks for Birmingham 1913, in the form of a cross, with applied coronet, 35mm by 29mm, obverse inscribed ‘Presented to James Pitt for Gallant Conduct’, the reverse inscribed ‘By Alfred Hallett for rescuing him from drowning in the Tyne on 5th July 1916’, with double loop suspension; together with five miscellaneous badges and medals, very fine (6) £80-100
