Military General Service 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Toulouse (J. Parker, 3rd Dgn. Gds.) good very fine £350-400

John Parker was born near Sleaford, Lincolnshire, and attested for the 3rd Dragoon Guards at Grantham on 7 September 1812, aged eighteen years. He served one year in the Peninsula and was present at the battle of Toulouse. He was discharged at Nottingham Barracks on 23 October 1841, being ‘unfit for a Cavalry Soldier on account of infirmities arising from age and length of service.’ Sold with copy discharge papers.
