This lot was sold as part of a special collection, Scottish Badges from the Collection of the late Arthur Strutt.

Note: Parkyn states pages 149 & 209 that both regiments were authorised to use the Arms of Perth as a collar badge from 1873 and 1874 respectively and evidence suggests that both regiments adopted the Arms for use as a glengarry badge c1878, that of the 90th being without the motto.
