1st The Royal Regiment, a very fine and scarce officer’s forage badge, rayed and chased silver star with fretted gilt overlay being St Andrew and Cross within the pierced Collar of the Order of the Thistle, the outer oval inscribed with the Motto of the Order and unit title, ‘THE ROYAL REGIMENT’, c1865-1872, two loop fasteners, blue enamel entirely lacking (red felt replacement) otherwise excellent condition £100-150
