WORLD ART MEDALS Australia, International Exhibition, Melbourne, 1880, a silver award medal by H. Stokes, coronetted and veiled bust of Victoria left, reverse legend in wreath, edge named (Magnier, Brunet, Duplay et Cie, Paris – Linen Fabrics), 52mm (BDM V, 693; cf. DNW 41, 781). Very tiny rim nick on reverse at 8 o’clock, otherwise brilliant and practically as struck, most attractive deep olive-grey tone (£80-100)
