BRITISH COINS George II 1727-60, Crown, 1734, a trial striking in lead of the reverse only, cruciform shields with roses and plumes in angles, normal edge SEPTIMO, 35.46gms (L & S –; ESC –; SC –). Test mark ‘828’ scratched on reverse, good very fine with light olive tone, believed the only such piece extant (£2,000-2,500)
