Warwickshire, Birmingham, George Barker, Penny, 1800, bust of William Pitt left, rev. penny token for exchange around bee-hive and bees, the work of john gregory hancock aged nine years below, edge by george barker birmingham x x, 24.30g/12h (DH 17). Usual small die flaw on reverse at 4 o’clock, otherwise mint state and bronzed, the centres well struck up, extremely rare; almost certainly the finest specimen available to commerce £1,200-1,500
