Laporte-Blairsy for Robert Linzeler, on behalf of Crédit Lyonnais, angel standing over body of dead soldier attended by three female mourners, reverse sword, named (Lucien Tarlois, 5 Octobre 1918), 76 x 69mm; Gloire au Soldat Inconnu, 1921, a bronze medal by R. Bénard, angel receiving the body of a dead soldier borne aloft by four female figures, reverse wreath draped with medal, tomb below, 68mm (Jones, Art of the Medal, 417; cf. BDW 9, 729 and DW 24, 186) [2]. Very fine and better, first scarce (£30-40)
