France, Napoleon I, c.1850, an oval cast bronze ‘tidy’ receptacle or dish, unsigned, bust of Napoleon left with Imperial eagle, 157 x 92mm. An unusual and scarce decorative item of Napoleonic memorabilia, very fine with light patina (£60-80)

Shaped rather like an ash-tray, although it seems unlikely to have seen use as such
