M.S.M. London Gazette 13 March 1918. ‘... in recognition of valuable services rendered with the Armies in the Field during the present war.’ ‘322005 S. Sjt. (A./Q.M.S.), R.A.M.C. (Dysart, Fife).’

Corporal William Patterson, R.A.M.C., entered the Balkan theatre of war on 9 June 1915. Awarded the M.S.M. for service in East Africa. Discharged on 15 March 1919. With copied gazette extract and m.i.c. for the M.S.M. and W.W.1 medals.
