M.S.M. London Gazette 3 January 1920. ‘... in recognition of valuable services rendered with the British Forces in North Russia.’ ‘Archangel Command. S/21235 Sjt., Royal Army Service Corps (Emsworth).’

23 ‘Archangel’ M.S.M’s. awarded to the R.A.S.C.

Corporal Edward A. Manning, A.S.C., entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 12 October 1914. For his wartime services, in addition to the M.S.M., he was awarded the 1914 Star, British War and Victory Medals. He was awarded an Army L.S. & G.C. Medal in 1908. With copied gazette extract and m.i.c. for the M.S.M. and W.W.1 medals.
