M.S.M. London Gazette 18 January 1919. ‘... in recognition of valuable service rendered with the Armies in France and Flanders.’ ‘13931 Coy./S.M., 6th Bn. Dorsetshire Regiment (Aberdeen).’

Sergeant John Ross, Dorsetshire Regiment, entered the Balkan theatre of war on 6 March 1915. Having attained the rank of Warrant Officer Class 2, he was transferred to Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 6 March 1919. Entitled to the 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medals. With copied gazette extracts and m.i.c. for the W.W.1 medals.
