M.S.M. London Gazette 17 June 1918. ‘... in recognition of valuable services rendered with the Forces in France during the present war.’ ‘240023 Sjt., North’d. Fus. (Newcastle-on-Tyne).’

164 M.S.M’s. awarded to the Northumberland Fusiliers; 42 for ‘France’.

Corporal Stanley Carr, Northumberland Fusiliers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 April 1915. Attaining the rank of Warrant Officer Class 2, he was later disembodied.
