M.S.M. London Gazette 3 June 1919. ‘... in recognition of valuable service rendered with the Armies in France and Flanders.’ ‘1373 Sjt., 7th Bn. Royal West Surrey Regiment (West Croyden).’

109 M.S.M’s. awarded to The Queen’s Regiment; 36 for ‘France and Flanders’.

Private Bernard C. Clapp, The Queen’s Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 27 July 1915. Transferred to Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 4 April 1919. Entitled to the 1914-15 Star, British War and Victory Medals. With copied gazette extracts and m.i.c. for W.W.1 medals.
