A rare Great War ‘Salonika’ M.S.M. for Gallantry group of four awarded to Pioneer H. Freeman, Royal Engineers

Only one M.S.M. for Gallantry awarded to the Royal Engineers for Salonika.

Pioneer Howard Freeman, 57 Field Company R.E., entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 16 August 1914. He later served with the 139 Army Troops Company in Salonika - the unit entering that theatre of war in February 1916. For his gallantry whilst serving with that unit he was subsequently awarded the M.S.M. for Gallantry. Also entitled to the Silver War Badge. With copied gazette extract, m.i.c. for the W.W.1 medals and other research.
