Royal Munster Fusiliers, a very fine officer’s post-1902 full dress scarlet tunic complete with all fine gilt buttons, bullion and silver grenade collar badges and shoulder cords in the rank of 2nd Lieutenant (Militia), one embroidered ‘M’ missing, good strong colour and the gold lace dull but not worn, some surface mothing and five pin head size holes on the front, the quilted lining in good state and bearing the trade label for Daniels & Sons, Cork and Fermoy, this label named to ‘Lieut Payne RMF’ £280-350

Lieutenant S. S. G. Payne was commissioned into the 4th Militia Battalion, Royal Munster Fusiliers, on 21 November 1903. He was still serving with this battalion in June 1910, but his name is not listed in the 1912 Army List.
