Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 5 clasps, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal, Laing’s Nek, S.A. 1901, last clasp loose as issued (199 Serjt. H. E. Buckridge, Impl. Lt. Infy.) good very fine £100-120

Taken prisoner at Spion Kop 24 January 1900, and released on 6 June 1900. Horace Edgar Buckridge attested for the Imperial Light Infantry at Durban on 11 November 1899. He later joined Scotts Railway Guards (Mounted) at Cape Town on 21 March 1901 and was discharged on 21 September 1901. Sold with copy discharge papers and copies of the medal rolls confirming clasps. He is also entitled to the clasp for Cape Colony which was sent to his father, together with the clasp for South Africa 1901, in November 1910.
